I was sitting in a meeting yesterday, and the VP of Creative looked over at my hands and said: “I’m not used to NOT seeing you with something crazy on your nails.”
Due to my recent move to my new apartment (and all the expenses that come with that), my nails have been BARE for the past 45 DAYS! (gasp!) :O
To remedy this…on Saturday, I have my very first appointment at Marie Nails Soho with Sayo. In a way, taking a sabbatical from my crazy nail art was a good thing. My nails got a bit of a breather from over 1.5 years of constant Calgel, and I can almost “start fresh” with my designs!
It’s my chance to “start simple” and work my way back up to Crazytown!

Ok so I pretty much redid a design I had done at sakura that cost me 82 bucks there. I got a “white” gradation (the color is called pink candy, very similar to ballet slippers by essie) on all my finger. A 3d bow with “tails” and a diamond as the knot. I also got some stones on my thumbs because I heart the “blackberry bling” trend. And it cost me a whopping $52! And when I get my nails done in 3 weeks, (already booked my appointment) its going to be free to get my calgel removed and start fresh. I was quite impressed with the skill of my artist as my appointment was at noon and I was out of the chair before 1pm but I missed my lotion and hand massage. Overall my mom and I enjoyed Marie’s Nails oh and they don’t charge per stone but $4 for nail designs involving stones and $3.50 for 3d nail art designs, extensions are also $2 per nail. Yeah! I was wondering where your nail posts went! I always get so excited to see them! I also just moved this month too, from Manhattan to Bushwick! Good luck with your new apt, I love mine, went from a studio to a two bedroom! Have fun tomorrow!

i keep stalking your page waiting for you to put some pictures up from Marie nails. let me know if they are meticulous or not…i can’t stand bubbles on the nail surface and when they don’t paint all the way to the edges. ick. had that happen twice at sakura already
