A few weeks back: it was the end of NYFW, and I’d had my Stripe Nail Design on for 3 weeks. My nails started to resemble talons, so I desperately wanted a fresh set.
But I called Sakura WAY too late to get an appointment. It was completely and utterly my own fault — I should know by now that you need to call at least a week in advance (if not earlier) to get an appointment for nail art.
The ONLY way I could get in that weekend was if I got — gasp! – a SINGLE COLOR.
But I was desperate. I told myself it would be good for me. Take it back to the old school, HP. So I took the appointment…
I had something specific in mind: a pinky/brown nude color. So I asked them to mix 2 of the Calgel colors to get something close to what I wanted.
But of course, once I was there, I HAD to get SOMEthing special…
Luckily, Hitomi was able to squeeze me in to help. I wanted black ovals on my cuticles, so she used Black Acryllic Paint to draw them in.
Here’s the finished product!

OMG they look ah-mazing!
They remind me of this nude and black design I have in my inspiration folder that I found on one of my many Google Image searches for nail art. I wish I could find the original URL to show you!
They look awesome, as usual
