A few weeks ago, I tried (with much futility) to share a passage that Jaclyn had read during Savasana, written by Patrick Lynch.

Well, the Universe was on my side this morning!! I walked into class and heard Patrick’s jolly voice next to me!! It’s been nearly a year since I last saw him in class, when we once used to practice every day together!
We managed to exchange emails, and here is the OFFICIAL passage — VERBATIM — about Savasana that he wrote:
“Being still in between postures during the standing series and being still in savasana during the floor series is a chance to exercise and build self-control. We feel, see and hear the sensations of our body and mind but take the opportunity to be still and not react to them. In stillness and complete self-control, we observe these sensations and desires and decide if they are meaningful or important. Then in life, in much the same way, we can observe our desires and decide if they serve our life, or if they need to be released or changed.”
Now you see why it was so special.
Thanks Patrick, for sharing!! ![]()
Namaste.
Thank you for sharing, this is a lovely quote.
Thanks Anny! I’m thinking of asking Patrick to write another one each month!
