Yogabela K.I.S.S. – Keeping It Simple for us Sweat-ers

As you probably know, I’m an avid Bikram practitioner.  What does this mean?  90 minutes of profuse sweating where you carry your clothes home in a plastic bag (or a Sweat Sack).  And personally, I wash my yoga clothing immediately after each and every class.
So what ELSE does this mean?  Your yoga clothes need to withstand aggressive, daily washings, sweat saturation and sweat stench.
A few years ago, I stumbled upon this cute yoga-wear line called Yogabela.  I was immediately drawn to the line because it was created by a Bikram Yogi, for fellow Bikram Yogis.  So immediately, I knew these clothes would be able to hold up to all the strains, stench and sanitation that was required by Bikram Yoga.
Why else?

  • Yogabela designs are SIMPLE, clean and designed with the practitioner in mind
  • They even consider such details as NOT having embroidery or stitching that might irritate or bother you during your yoga class or sport
  • Yogabela uses high-performance quality fabrics to create their designs, which means a nice, slightly-thicker weight.  Durable!
  • Yogabela fabrics do not contain ANY cotton, which means they WON’T cling on to smells, B.O., or stench!  (FTW!)
  • They focus on offering an array of bright, colors, with just a handful of patterns.  Nothing ornate: simple high-quality clothes for your yoga practice (and beyond!)

I was lucky enough to visit the Yogabela showroom and get an up-close look at their designs and new patterns.

Yogabela clothing is made stateside — in Queens to be exact! The company was created by Pamela (who lives in NH) and Joel (who lives in A-town!).  I met with Joel and his lovely wife Barbara last weekend at their showroom:

Barbara can also be seen modeling the Yogabela line:
