Sakura Nail Spa – Downtown L.E.S. Grand Opening!

Friday, May 22, 2009 · 5 Comments

I was thrilled to be invited to the grand opening party of the NEW Sakura Nail Spa Downtown location last night!   The space was formerly Priti Organic Spa, but has been re-done to accomodate a peaceful, elegant Sakura location!

Located on the ground floor on the Lower East Side, the new spa is located on 35 East 1st Street, between 1st & 2nd Avenues.

There are 4 pedicure stations…

They have also expanded their list of services and will now be offering facials as well.  The new space has one facial room:

And of course, they will be offering their famous Calgel Art at this new space:

The space is decorated in a very minimalist way, with clean lines and a “green” theme.  Overall it’s very peaceful and charming, much like their Upper East Side location.

Last night was really a festive celebration – the entire space was filled with friends and customers, blessing the store with good energy and well wishes!

Fumiko, the manager, was in a traditional Japanese Kimono, and was SO happy:

I am so happy for the Sakura team.  Since I started frequenting the nail spa last year, they’ve opened up 2 additional locations.  It’s a testament to their diligence and their pride in their work, that they’ve managed to expand and grow.

If you happen to be downtown this weekend in NYC, give them a visit and tell them Heather sent ya!  ;)

xx,

Ok, so when are they going to open a location in Oklahoma?? lol

I so wish I could get my nails done by this salon. It looks so pretty inside too, I love the color choices, very relaxing. And from what I have seen they have done to your nails, I NEED this salon in my life, like YESTERDAY!!

    Thanks for the pics :)

You are so awesome!! Thanks a lot for the info. I had my first experience with Japanese nail art at Sakura’s UES location. So happy to hear about the LES location.

Do you have the contact number for the new LES store? I want to call them to make an appointment for next week. You can email it to me if you don’t mind. dukeofnyc@mac.com
